Fryderyk Chopin: Nocturne in E flat major Op. 9 No. 2


Francisco Tárrega transcribed Chopin’s very popular Nocturne Op. 9 no. 1 at the end of the nineteenth century. This adaptation seems to contradict one of the characteristics of Chopin’s output, inextricably linked to the piano. However, it reveals the importance of transcriptions in the transmission of certain repertories.
