Elvira Mínguez, Tristán Ulloa and Ángel-Luis Pujante

Shakespeare’s Sonnets recited

4/24/2014

The actors Elvira Mínguez and Tristán Ulloa recite a selection of Shakespeare’s sonnets made by the translator and Professor Ángel-Luis Pujante, who also comments on the poems and was responsible for some of the translations. The sonnets recited here come from Shakespeare’s collection of 154 sonnets and the plays All’s Well that Ends Well and Romeo and Juliet. Friendship, love, lust and infidelity are some of the themes from these poems, which distance themselves from the Petrarchan model that predominated during his time.
