Recited by Elvira Mínguez

Like as the waues make towards the pibled ∫hore, Sonnet 60 by William Shakespeare

The form of this sonnet corresponds to the English sonnet in that “each quatrain changes tone, as well as content, with respect to the previous quatrain, and the final couplet contradicts the main body of the sonnet”, as Ángel-Luis Pujante notes. This is verified by the melancholic tone that predominates the poem, which is contradicted in the transcendent meaning of the last two lines.
