Sigma Project Germán Alonso "In heaven everything is fine", para cuarteto de saxofones (Versión con espacio lumínico) 8:51OCTOBER 30, 2013Germán Alonso’s career is characterised by his interest in electroacoustics, timbral research and irony. The premiere of In Heaven Everything is Fine (2011), in a version with a lighting design created by Alonso himself, took place at the Fundación Juan March on 30 October 2013. In the work, the composer strives to eliminate any trace of narrativity in accordance with the Surrealist universe of David Lynch, which served as the inspiration for the title, using a dialogue between light and sound emphasizing the idea of discontinuity.
Sigma Project José Manuel López López: Simog / Civitella, for saxophone quartet (version with videocreation) 14:07OCTOBER 30, 2013José Manuel López López composed Simog / Civitella in 2011 during a stay in the Civitella Ranieri Centre (Italy). In his music, López López endeavoured to capture the dust particles that filtered through the rays of light there using very short cells that form a sound situated between instrumental and electronic music. Using that experience as a basis, Pascal Auger created a videocreation, using images captured in that Italian residence, in which he draws visual analogies with what is expressed in the music.
